Who am I?
My name is Hossain, and I am a woodwork enthusiast. I’ve been working closely in this industry for quite some time and decided that it’s time to put my expertise and knowledge out there for you to benefit from.
Of course, I do not claim that I know everything there is to know. But even if you gain something as minute as a random fact, or are introduced to the type of wood you want for your upcoming project, then my job is done. And that is what WoodCritic is about, to share knowledge about a dying art-form.
My mission
At WoodCritic, my mission is to always make sure that you have all the information that you’ll ever need to make your wood-related endeavors and projects a success.
To do that, all the content on this site is communicated in a simple tone that is easy to follow. I refrain from using technical terms or terms of the trade unless absolutely necessary or if the context requires it.
Furthermore, I’ve also made sure to make the content interactive and interesting so that along with reaping the benefits of knowledge, the whole experience can also be a relaxing one for you – you can indulge in rather than labor through.
How things work
WoodCritic doesn’t follow one singular pattern for its content. All of them are dealt with in their own manner, a manner which suits them best.
My main niche is doing reviews over the best type of wood that you can get in general cases. For instance, what’s the best type of wood that you can get for your salad bowl, or the best type of wood you can get for making your wooden tray.
These reviews are always supplemented by concise and precise pros and cons that will help you make the right call when the time comes, and also have an additional bottom-line to seal the proverbial nail in this wooden coffin. This makes it easier to convince yourself of the right model, especially since the bottom-line is fairly precise and really puts all there is on the table.
Furthermore, to make all the content available at one go, I also include comparison tables in all of my reviews. These comparison tables contain all the important and necessary features that I think really make the distinction when choosing the right type of wood for your project.
Another type of content that you’ll find on WoodCritic is related to guides and how-tos. I cover buyers guide for all the products that I review and always highlight the main pointers that you need to keep in mind and consider when choosing the right type of wood for any particular project.
I then also supplement this with frequently asked questions. These are those that are often encountered by users and can be a source of confusion. I clear them up in a simple and brief manner without diving too much into the detail.
Lastly, you’ll find general wood-related content that you can use to expand your own base of knowledge and use that to experiment with different stuff.
